- How fast is the Application Service Provider (ASP)?
- ASP service will process the images in order on a server when they are scanned, although not instantaneously. Yet we are allocating a server in order that the pay service will tally up 100 sheets within an hour, 1,000 sheets within 3 hours, 5,000 sheets within a day.
- Why is it so cheap?
- Because AltPaper system, which we have invented performs completely automated processing we do not need high numbers of manpower to input data manually any more.
- Do I have to use a specific scanner?
- If you have a scanner, which is capable of capturing more than 150 DPI images with color or gray scale you can use this system, You do not need a specific kind of scanner.
- Which version of Microsoft Word can I use?
- For ASP service, only Word 2007 or Word in Office 2003 Professional are useable. However, if you are using the full service, it won't be necessary. Please contact us.
- Can I use another kind of Microsoft Office software for the service?
- We are inventing a Microsoft Excel version of this provider. To be released soon.
- Can I use copied forms?
- It is possible to copy the forms that are printed out either with a copying machine or a printer. However, if you have multiple pages of questionnaire forms, some irrelevant papers could possibly be randomly mixed in with the copied forms. Please click here to see more.
- Don't I have to mark out checkboxes?
- You don't have to mark out as you did before on a bubble sheet. You can expect no different accuracy from marking out.
- How accurate is the check mark recognition?
- It depends on the conditions of use. Especially if a form is too contaminated or if a scanner has some problems, you cannot expect a high level of accuracy. Otherwise you can expect the same result as a computer-scored reading system or OCR system using heavy papers and special scanners.
- What kind of letter can it read automatically?
- So far it can only read numbers. We will support alphabets in the very near future.
- Can it read the sections for open-ended questions?
- For the sections for open-ended questions, it will scan and cut the corresponding part as an image, so that you will be able to input data viewing the image files simultaneously.
